Statement from Governor Jan Brewer Recognizing Arizona Teachers

Statement

"In honor of National Teacher Appreciation Day, I ask that Arizonans join me in offering our gratitude and praise to the dedicated men and women across our state who work hard to inspire and prepare our future generations.

"It is more important than ever that our students graduate high school with the knowledge, critical thinking, motivation and work ethic necessary to contribute to our increasingly demanding workforce and competitive economy. Arizona is fortunate to have thousands of devoted, effective teachers who go above and beyond their job descriptions to unlock their students' potential and help prepare them for lifelong success.

"Let us take time to remember the teachers who have most impacted our own lives, and to recognize those Arizona teachers who work tirelessly to shape a bright future for our students and our state."
